The Work Incentives Resource Center provides information to assist individuals with disabilities in New Hampshire to understand the impact of working and earning income on public benefits.
Individuals with disabilities often rely on public medical insurance programs, especially Medicaid, for needed supports, services and equipment, and on income supplement programs. The information at this site can help individuals and those supporting them to analyze the effect that work and other life situation changes have on the complicated maze of benefits programs, and to minimize the disincentives to employment in these programs.
We have made every effort to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However, programs are subject to change, and there are exceptions and individual circumstances beyond the scope of this summary information.
This project was brought to you in partnership with the State of New Hampshire’s Granite State Employment Project, Granite State Independent Living and UNH Institute on Disability. Made possible under an agreement with the State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Developmental Services with Medicaid Infrastructure Grant Funds provided by the federal Centers for Medicaid Services under CFDA 93.768.
